The Paklenica Riviera is located along the coast of the Adriatic Sea, at the foot of the southern Velebit, and it includes the settlements Tribanj, Starigrad-Paklenica and Seline.
Starigrad-Paklenica is a small tourist town with around 1,300 inhabitants, 45 km to the west of Zadar.
The Paklenica National Park is in its immediate vicinity; it is an area of protected unimpaired nature, rich in flora and fauna, as well as geomorphological shapes.
The combination of the sea and the mountains is irresistible for numerous adventurers and nature lovers, and particularly for mountaineers and climbers who visit throughout the year.
Starigrad-Paklenica is a junction point of the mild mediterranean climate and the sharp mountain climate, equally interesting to mountaineers and bathers. The Paklenica Riviera is rich in numerous long pebble beaches, ideal for family vacations, and the Velebit channel is a paradise for yachtsmen, surfers and divers. Apart from these two neighboring pearls of natural beauty, there are another three national parks in a diameter of a few dozen kilometers (Plitvice, Kornati and Krka) and two parks of nature (Vrana Lake and Telašcica).
